How It All Started


After years of traveling the world, founder Tiago Gomes was stranded in Indonesia during the pandemic — where he launched a project to support local artisans.

That experience shaped VanCowork’s core values: community, purpose, and freedom.

When he returned home to Vila do Conde, he created a space where those values could thrive — a workshop where ideas become motion.

We chose Aveleda for its perfect balance — just 5 minutes from the airport, close to the city, the sea, and nature.

It’s where calm meets creativity, where local suppliers and skilled hands bring our projects to life.

From here, we’re redefining what van life means in Portugal.

The Road Ahead

Our goal is to make VanCowork a European benchmark for quality, innovation, and collaboration in van conversions.

We’re expanding our shop, launching modular furniture lines, and creating training programs for DIY builders.
